Why Should I Remove CasaleMedia Cookie?

Cookies, like CasaleMedia cookies, are used to enable a website to remember something about you. The information that is collected can vary, some cookies are used to remember an identification number, preferences, a password, or to monitor how you shop on a website. Advertisers may use cookies to keep track of how often you visit which websites they have their advertising on. A website can access cookie data whenever you connect to the server.

Privacy Concerns: Generally there are many harmless and helpful cookies, but, at the same time, there are plenty of ways for cookies to threaten your privacy. It is not always clear where the cookie is coming from. Such is the case of banner advertisers, they place cookies on any number of websites, and you may not always be notified that the cookie is coming from an advertiser rather than the website itself. CasaleMedia Overview

In the following sections, we investigate and explain the key points that are attributed to cookies.

How Cookies May Jeopardize Your Privacy

  • Innocent cookies? Not so innocent as you might have thought.
A cookie is a unique identifier that a web server places on your computer: a serial number for you personally that can be used to retrieve your records from their databases. It stores all your sensitive information that you provide by filling out any registration forms in the Web. It stores the information about you, your account, your password and so on. Moreover, if you use one of the popular search engines, the questions you type are probably being logged and analyzed too. There are many unreliable companies (though there may be some reliable too) that may sell the information about you or to exchange it with the companies that buy advertising space from them.

  • The e-marketers know what junk to send you by watching the pages you browse.
You can't feel safe in the Internet because every step you do there is monitored. It's like a Big Brother who is always watching you. Certain websites may collect information about your browsing habits, and then sell this data to their advertisers, who will then choose what spam to send you.

  • Your browser may be a leaker.
Don't even try to hide yourself in the Internet. Nowadays, it's quite impossible to remain unnoticed and unnamed. Your browser will show which computer you are coming from, what software and hardware you are using, details of the link you clicked on, and possibly even your email address.

  • They got your email address? Then you are detected!
It is enough to get your email address to find out your first name, last name and even your home address. How do they do this? They may check various databases where information about you may be stored. Try to remember, have you ever registered at a site or requested any information and were asked to type your email or postal address into forms? Also, some browsers that include a mail handler may disclose your email address in certain situations, such as when requesting a file by FTP.
